12v ignition source

Does anyone know of a convenient spot under the bonnet to get 12v when ignition is on for triggering a relay.
I know I can get it from the igntion barrel, but would like to get it from the bay if possible

There are plenty of sources. The main distribution block for power is right behind the battery, it won't take long to find an ignition-on active source in there.

I have a D22, but assuming the D40 is similar, myself and a lot of others take a feed from the windscreen wiper motor.

Thanks, ill have to get the mulimeter out & start searching.
I was thinking I'll try & get one from the fuse box & hide the relay in my there.
