This issue is common in a lot of cars, beyond Navaras. My girlfriend has a Pulsar and she had her's fixed just before Christmas. When I got my D22 back in Feb I called and they advised me my model (2006 ZD30 S2) does not have this issue.

That's how much it cost me to do the 100,000 KM service on my d22 when I got it second hand. Your car is brand new. That's quite a ripoff.

Yes. It's quite a big job if you want to do properly. Especially the "flexible" pipe that connects the snorkel to the bit that connects to the airbox. I have seen different setups, some of them are easier than others to install.. mine was a pain, but happy with the results.
