Well I compared them in the FSM - completely different. Mounting points and connectors, I didn't look further from there.
Luckily there have been a few pop up being wrecked on Gumtree so I should be able to get a hold of one.

I am after a new cluster for my '97 QD32 powered D22. These seem to be a bit thin on the ground and I am having dramas chasing one.
I found one on eBay. There is no pic of the cluster, only the vehicle but the description is "NISSAN NAVARA INSTRUMENT CLUSTER D22 BLUE GUAGES TYPE...
Not with an necessarily with an open diff as I have. The wheel with the least resistance will get the drive. If one hubs slips so the only load on that side is the half shaft, it will spin the shaft instead of the other side, being shaft, wheel tyre and vechile. From in car it will feel the same...
Yeah that was the section I was looking at. Full disassembly procedure is "See earlier TD series service manual EF section (1st edition)" or something to that effect. It does have removal and adjustment procedures.

Anyone by any chance have an exploded diagram of the pump? It appears to be in the earlier version of the FSM than supplied on here.
No, I don't believe so. I had heard the clunk but not noticed the loss of drive. Hadn't been on hills as steep as when I discovered the drive issue though.
