Once you remove the airbox from inside the engine bay, you'll have to cut off the flange end that faces the inner guard. Not a perfect cut, but who's

Access to inner guard by removing wheel, etc.
Jack it up and remove the LH front wheel and plastic wheel arch guard - it will make the job much easier!
