With a new pick up pump going in "photos to come" it's best to check the seal on the spill line, with the vac pump I brought to bleed the brakes the test was done...An all so slight leek, so i re tensioned the spill line bango bolts and all good..

Back again, yup yet to fire her up as i was held up with fuel line plumbing.. I got the pump mounted and the only place I could get it low enough was at the front of the tank..

Bracket made to fit the excisting bolts that hold the tank bracket to the sub frame.
I grabed some old front shocker rubbers for the pump bracket and used those AN fittings from the pump to the lines.

I cant find or i may have some how deleted the photos on how i made the bracket danm it!
Anyway it's not that hard, i used masking tape on the tank and drew the outline the tank and holes then transfered that to a section of 100mm x 100mm angle . Used a micro cutting disk to cut it out..

After spending a small fortune on a new pump i just had to remove the tank to inspect and clean if needed. So at the same time a fabricated the bracket for the pump..

Here's some photos of the internals, notice the plastic tub in the tank ? Now look at the pick up line and fuel level sender unit... notice how the return line follows the pick up line ? Well that pick up and return line sit inside of that plastic tub ! What i wanted to do but couldn't find any submersible fuel line was cut that return line and add the hose and place that outside of that plastic tub, why? Well if the fuel is still hot it gets picked up by the fuel line to the pump.. well thats my thought..

Gentlemen...... SHE IS ALIVE!!!

Did'nt even have to crack a line, turned her over a few cranks and she farted to life- a little smoke but that could be from oil running into the pots from the glow plugs being out and changed...

I feel like i could cry lol i still have pics to post regarding pressure gauge and fuel pump cover plate mount but she is alive..

Can anyone tell me what the spill valve °CA should read, mine is sitting on 13 ? Ill post up the report i got from the injector pump reco, maybe someone knows how to understand it and explain it to me...

Fuel pump plumbing, i used the aero flow gear.... guess who had the check valve in the wrong way ! No wonder it wouldn't prime...derrrr
Some how i flip it when i put it in...

With this check valve i removed the 1.5psi spring and found a much lighter spring from a nut n bolt place here in Gympie... If i had my time over again, i would have got what is aero flow made up by a hydrolics or fuel place -but being stuck in west bum fwuc Egypt this had to do... expensive but convienent !

Anyone looking for Aero Flow gear ring this bloke - Shaine from Rapid Hose Systems 0419 883 810. Or 02 6056 9068 this man went above and beyond for me , amazing service! To give you an idea of prices the pump cost me $90 delivered and all the fittings where the cheapest i could find... Tell him Wayne sent you, i think he knows me now lol over 30 emails working this pluming out...great bloke indeed and fast deliveries..
