Has anyone had, or know of someone that has had a diesel/gas conversion on a D40, is there a significant power increase?

Don't think it really matters what diesel you add gas to, they all gain in power and torque, and it takes very little gas for large gains. I don't know of any D40s but my old man has done his 4.2TD Patrol and it has a pretty big effect, don't have any dyno print outs of it but seat of the pants feel is impressive.

How much power do you want from the YD25. The chip plus the LPG will strain the auto. If you add the gas upgrade your transmission cooler. Heat kills auto's, more power more heat.

Anyway good luck.

Dave.

i have heard of a few being done. however i'm not a fan of lpg assist on variable turbo's.
unless you have a flatdeck there is not much room to fit an lpg tank.
concidering the chip can give you more power than the motor can handle i don't se the point of doing lpg.
one lpg site claims that it takes 100,000km's for the system to pay for itself.

i would spend that rather large amount of $$$ on some 4x4 mods and gaining reliability.
mayby water/methanol injection?
