Hi guys,

I have just put on some roof racks on the nav and the roof mounted antenna gets in the way of anything you put on the racks so my question is has anyone found a decent short aftermarket replacement that still gives good radio reception. I know I can sit the antenna under the the racks but I would prefer not to do this.

Cheers Justo

Thanks mate I have tried one of those but it doesn't have very good reception, should have mentioned that in My fist post. I was hoping there was a better quality one around. The ones on eBay look nice but as far as I'm concerned there more cosmetic.

Cheers Justo

Justo,

Did you find a solution? I am having the same issue, however mine is under my rack and at highway speed it either hits the roof or the rack which is super annoying on a long trip!

I put a marine antenna from BCF on my bullbar so i could pull the standard antenna off the roof
I went this way because the antenna whip itself is made in Australia, so it actually gets decent reception in the bush
The quality is really good too

It comes in two parts, the whip:

Mounted on this base

I just used stainless Ubolts to fasten the base to the bullbar
