Drivers side wheel on

940mm from bottom of rim to top of guard. Bit of an improvement over the 830mm I had before. Should clear a 35 easy and a 37 with some trimming

Then hit a roadblock on the passengers side, rim didnt clear the steering brace. No matter bot much I attacked it with the grinder I couldnt get it to clear. . Ordered a -20 16 x 8 for tomorrow. Ill see how that goes.

Got the rim sorted: Dynamic 16 x 8 -22 offset, ended up going to a different shop they had much better customer service. Clears the brakes and steering brace, ordered a second rim for tomorrow and Ill get the tires swapped over then. As some of you will be aware the panhard rod isnt parallel with the draglink and it is giving me some bump steer. Will be making a better bracket next week before I get a wheel alignment

Only other option was to go up to a 17" rim but I dont feel like buying new tires atm.

Didnt get any better pics I had to rush off to work today, had some issues with the brakes. Well I have none. Ive tried bleeding them twice but it seems the Master cylinder does not have a large enough stroke to close the GQ calipers. Will try bleeding tomorrow otherwise its off to the brake specialist next week

Got the shocks gassed to 150 psi today, made a noticable difference to the ride quality. I have spoken to a few blokes on a racing forum and they seem to think that the stroke of the master cylinder isnt enough to fill the GQ caliper. Im going to fit a 2lbs residual pressure valve to both the front and rear brakes and see if this makes a difference.

Ive ordered some 80 series bump stops for the front end. Top of the diff flange is hitting the swaybars so looks like they will be comming out. Still need to fit the residual pressure valve. I dont kow if it will work with the ABS so that may be next to go.

Residual Pressure Valve has been fitted but it hasnt really improved anything. Can get some braking effort at the end of the pedal stroke but you need to pump it for it to work. It has been suggested to remove the ABS as this may be the cause of the issues so it will be comming out in due time. I will be plumbing the brakes according to the non ABS diagram in the workshop manual. Failing this I will either run another residual pressure valve or put in a GQ/GU brake cylinder.

At the same time I will be making some extended shackles for the rear to give it some more lift. Looking at about 4" shackles to give the desired height

Has been a pretty quiet week on the Nav. Been waiting on parts to arrive and get made. Should have the extended shackles done today if everything goes to plan

Picked up the sleeves for the rear shackles today. Also gave the old girl its first service this year. 80 series bump stops are a little to long so Im going to cut the first section off and install them tomorrow. May even get time to put the shackles in as well.

Going to get a shop to look at the brakes next week. Going to get a second opinion before I start pulling shit apart or putting bigger master cylinders in. Stay tuned for pics i the coming days
