Hi, our car broke down last Thursday and since then mechanics at a small local countryside workshop (Carmila, QLD) are trying to chase down why our car isn't running anymore. Here is my previous post an that issue
http://www.navara.asia/showpost.php?p=388195&postcount=9

Now they have replaced the alternator (which they thought might be the solution) but it isn't. They have figured out that the ECU is telling the (new) alternator to provide 15V. And as soon as we engage a gear (D, automatic) fuse #19 blows up (ECU fuse box).

PLEASE, if you have any idea that can help us getting out of this misery (and of Carmile) let me know. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Apparently it was caused by some melted wires as the brand new alternator was acting strangely as well. So guess, the "old" alternator didn't need to be replaced ;-(
