Mud Retreads.

A mates told me that I can buy retreaded mud tyres.
Whats the go with these retreads.
Theres a place in Dandenong that will do retreads for about $110 fitted each.
Same pattern as a BFG Mud tyre.

Has anyone got these done?

Do they exist or am I being messed with and its all a big joke.

Ill give them a ring tmorrow.

Thoughts??

My Nav had remould Motorway Broncos on the back when I bought it, they did fine for quite a while and I did a bit of highway running. Not sure which place he's talking about in Dandenong but retreaders and remoulders don't tend to shout about what they do for some reason.

If it's for off road use only, it sounds like a great idea. I wouldn't have them as my road tyres.

Let us know how you go as I've been sniffing around for a good retread/remould supplier for a while now.

I dont got away every weekend, so cheap retreads would suit me down to the ground as I wont use them every weekend and speading over a grand on tyres I wont use every day. and $440 for the set isnt bad

The only problem i would see with them is when you lower the psi in them it could make it easyer to peel the cap off.

This is also true and makes cheapie muds like Simexes and Maxxises more attractive.
