hi all ,i have a 3ltr diesel turbo d22,dp chip ,3inch pipe ,fmi ,towed my caravan up to the central coast last weekend,noticed the small black cover between gear stick and centre console geting pretty hot ,any ideas what is causing this . any ideas muchly appreciated,thanks redleg

My 2006 ZD30 gets warm there too even with normal driving, has done so for the last 130,000kms I've owned it. I guess its just normal.

Mines the same.
Long trips on the highway, not towing anything i notice a bit of heat coming from there.

seems pretty hot to be a regular thing but i guess i'll see how it goes ,part from that car runnning well and seems to cope with 2200kg van ok ,maybe time for a bigger newer ride when ive saved up some cash,,thanks for the replys ,much appreciated everybody
