Howdy, what motor are you playing with ? And why do you need to know/look at it ? Has the motor been apart?

Zd30 bought s/h has no plenty of boost just no go someone suggested that the fuel pump timing may be out, have replaced turbo ,her pipe as it was cracked and all vacum hoses

I don't think it is something I'd be playing with without having a service manual to be honest. You might be better off taking it to a diesel specialist and getting it dynoed and have pump timing checked at the same time. It won't be cheap, but if something gets broken when you're pulling things apart it won't be cheap either.

If you really want to do it yourself, you will probably need to get hold of a diesel timing light. It will be hard to tell if it is out by looking at the timing gears as it probably wouldn't run well (if at all) if it was one tooth out. Any less than that you wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at it.

Good luck anyway.

Hi
Is there away to check the fuel pump timing without pulling all the front of the engine

you can't as such.
best bet is to get nissan or anyone with a decent code reader (not a generic obd2 reader, it needs to read nissan consult) and check the icv%.

fuel pump is fully electronic so there is no real timing marks to line up like an old school pump.
