Hi everyone
I am wondering is anyone has changed there Spain type fuel filter
to the Thai type with the priming pump on the top.
I have looked at doing it how ever the water sensor on the Spain filter has 3 wires
and the Thai has only 2 wires so not sure what to do.
Also is the Spain filter better or the Thai?

Why in heck would you want to change filter type?

Genuine nissan Spain type fuel filters are top notch, made in Austria by mann hummel with a sensor on the bottom that is i believe made by bosch in germany

One of the best standard diesel fuel filter systems out there

Pricey though

Wasn't sure what the Spain type filters where like and I was given a thai one which I thought would be
cheaper and easier to service, however if the Spain type are better I will stay with them.
Is there a brand that is better or are Ryco ok?

Genuine is way better than any aftermarket brand

I have heard of people having problems with the aftermarket fuel filters in d40s, because the internals of the filter are different, the computer sees the wrong fuel pressure coming to the injector rail

Because the fuel pressure is so high and needs to be precise, the vehicle goes into limp mode
