i'm curious to know if the 140kw engines also have timing chain issues like the earlier 126kw engines? my son is looking at a 2012 st with 150k on the clock. (my 2006 stx has 350k up, and still running strong, touch wood)

edit. the STX king cab is Thai built!

All STX's and the later facelifted ST's(140kw) are Spanish! (i believe)

my 06 stx auto has 330kon it. i do a service myself every 10k, it's had 1 auto service in it's life, so far, so good. engine still running sweet!

I need to replace the rear tail shaft seal, but it has a rubber boot over it. Does it comes off easily, looks like it just knocks off? edit. got it off easy!

06 d40 auto has for no reason started flashing 4wdlo, even though the car seen to drive normally in 2wd. changing the dial between 2/4 hi, 4lo makes no difference! Also noted that the ATP light is flashing really fast, and only when in park. anyone have a clue?

My 06 stx dual cab is letting water in from somewhere high, no roof racks on. Noticed the roof rail recess on the roof has some light rust on the edges where the sealant is, it looks like it's shrinking, leaving a gap. Has anyone had water come in there?

pretty sure the SL, ST, and STX all had the 140kw twin turbo. only the RX had the 120kw single.

and the 2.5l was only in 2WD!

they have different chassis', not sure on the mount positions.

check the rubber pipe from the turbo, to the intercooler for any splits, as it expands and contracts quite a bit depending on boost pressure!

jack it up and spin one wheel, if the other goes the opposite way, it's an lsd!

I am using an outboard primer on my yd25, works a treat. Just swap out the barbs!

do they do one for the diesel engine?
