Got to say thanks to Hadricus for the service manual download cos it told me there was a NPS on the gearbox which according to the manual mine shouldnt have, but did so out with the wire snips and performance is restored
taken the nps out and freed it off, now its reading open circuit as I presume it should but still no better. the fuel filter is new. Are there any other sensors I should be looking at and if so where are they? Please someone come up with a miracle because its driving me mad not being able to...
these are the same symptoms im getting. It was the only in 3rd and 4th that had me stumped. ive checked the nps and it seems to work when out of the vehicle but what should its position be when not in neutral, open or closed?
Ive got a UK spec 2.5 diesel D22 and the filter top manual pump just keeps pumping. It does not "stiffen up". When driving it stutters and farts mainly in third thruought the rev range, but seems ok in all other gears. Please help!:suicide:
Driving in the UK my snorkel is obviously only for wet conditions and its great for that. However even though its never dusty round here and most of my miles are on the black top my K&N filter needs de clogging every 5-6 thousand miles as its full of crap
I had one I was convinced was comming from the passenger windscreen pillar area but it turned out to bee the bottom ball joint. changed it and its like im not driving an 8 year old truck any more so Im gonna change em all.:dancing:
the CVs are easy enough to break with 32s on so why try and put more strain on them. it will also put more strain on the ludicrously weak transfer chain.
I know its not much good to you aussie guys, but if any uk drivers are after extended shackles Tarrantula do a set for a series landrover that are 75 mm longer between holes and lift the d22 2.5 inches. i just had to machine the metal bush inserts. Cost about the same as 3 beers (pints). Just...
Ive removed the rear headrests and bolted brackets to the mounting holes to hold the high lift, the nots that hold the jack in are the same size as the wheel nuts so it can be bolted in tight using the wheel nut spanner that is there anyway.
Hopefully just replacing the chain. with all the snow were having in the UK at the moment im needing 4wd but the noise is getting embarrassing if i spin a wheel
Thanks, did the chain go on by sliding cogs off or did you split the chain open. sorry for the barrage of questions but I like to have as much info as possible so I can avoid mishaps as the truck is a daily driver and work vehicle:flowers:
Im back on the transfer box again, Does the gearbox need to come out and what about the crossmember that holds the torsion bars. Im just trying the think about how much time I need on a mates lift. How long am I looking at
Its where the leaf joins the chassis, The pin goes through the mount and on the mount infront of the pin there is a mini bar coke can sized thing. just wondered if it even has a name.
Ive mounted my Hi Lift jack in there and compressor, tow strap winch controller, snatch block, tyre deflator, high vis vest, shackles, baby wipes, towel. And I cant get to any of it unless I take out two kids seats.
