HELP My trusty Jan 2006 D40 Diesel Manual (now at 206,000km), has exhibited a fault today. It is taking twice as much cranking to start, and cuts out momentarily around long RH bends, like TR @ roundabout! Is there a pre-pump in the tank or similar that could fail and cause this? I've checked...

I too would love to see the pic of your mod. Mine always leaks after a good dose of driving through flooded creeks, and there has been plenty of that lately in Qld. I must admit, I ignore it, and the leak stops of its own accord after another 10,000km, and of course I monitor the transfer level...

180,000 km so far.......no clutch problems. I must admit, I use low range on the boat ramp and steep driveways due to the hole in the torque curve low down. I guess I've done about 50,000 km with the boat on the back, but its only 700kg total.

I am on EFS Elite on the rear of my D40 with 180,000km. They have done 20,000km so far and are infinitely better in control and damping than the two other previous sets. They are working with the std springs with an extra leaf.......a good combination it seems
