    D40 Fuel Economy

Ok, but is it possible, from the figures most of you are getting, to go to figures I'm getting in a diesel with an added 2" lift, muddies, bar, winch, snorkel, roof rack, canopy and it being an auto? Plus feathering the throttle? I would understand if it was a petrol, but to get figures double...

    D40 Fuel Economy

Those figures are unbelievable. Mine can't even reach 400 km and the dealer says it's normal cause if the bull bar, muddies, canopy... It's an auto though.

    D40 Fuel Economy

It's been checked numerous times, litres filled against kilometres travelled. It was at the dealers a couple of times with the consumption complaint but they said it was normal as I had a 2" lift, muddies, ARB bar, canopy and roof racks. I can't understand how you can get such poor economy from...

    D40 Fuel Economy

I don't know guys, those figures some of you are getting are amazing. This Navara never went below 20's since new, usually average 22L, regards if driven around town or country, can't believe it.

    4 inch Lift Advice Please!!!

Thanks for the reply mate. Yes, I'm aware of the mechanicals but I thought I'd do the body lift so I could put bigger tyres like 33's or 35's, which would raise the diffs and other mechanicals of course. I'll also end up whacking some thick bash plates along with rock rails to avoid further...

    4 inch Lift Advice Please!!!

Sh!t, just realised I posted this under General. Can it be moved to suspension? I also checked over there and found 2 threads already about it but nothing in specific to what I'm after of info, meaning, are there other obstacles in the way and how to overcome them (besides engineering).

    4 inch Lift Advice Please!!!

Hi guys, I want to install a 4" lift (or whatever is available - 5" or 6" would also do) on the Navara and want to see if anyone here has done that on theirs. I'll need some advice on how to go about it. Any info at this stage would be useful. Money isn't an issue. Checked with few outlets out...

    D40 Fuel Economy

You're figures are like those of mine. I get around 350 k's out of 65L, except that I'm not loaded at all. It's at the dealers ATM, trying to sort out 3 issues: - fuel economy - tranny in limp mode - spongy brake pedal since a couple of weeks ago It's been in for a week now and still nothing...

Brake pedal goes down too much

Hi gents, I just had air lockers installed by ARB and ever since I picked it up last Monday, my brakes feel weird. When I press the brake pedal, it goes down more than it usually did prior to the lockers. In fact, they feel very spongy. Also, if I sit at the lights, when I pump the brake and...

    D40 Fuel Economy

Thanks for your feedback. The site was down. Actually, I'm driving like a grandpa, feathering the throttle, trying my best to bring it lower. Then there's something definitely wrong. I'll visit the dealer. :rambo:

    Penrite HPR5

Hi all, Has anyone used Penrite HPR5 in their Navara? That's full synthetic 5W-40. My dad used it in his Hilux and is very happy with it.

    D40 Fuel Economy

Hi guys, just came onto this forum to see if there was anything on fuel economy as my Navara is terrible. It's a 2010 model and the best I get is 21L/100km but it usually sits at 22L and that's without towing. How do you guys achieve those low figures around 10L, what a diesel should be? I have...

    Replacement Tailshaft Needed! HELP Please!!!

The alloy one also got damaged in the creek. Hit the rock and put a swirl on it, then whattaya know, couldn't even get out of the creek, it snapped where the swirl was from pressure. Anyway, the custom one's in already. At $385, can't complain. Surely better than $1700 or $2000+$50 delivery.

    Replacement Tailshaft Needed! HELP Please!!!

The guy from Melbourne wants $2000 + delivery. Nissan wants $1700 for a brand new one. I got a custom one to be made for $385. It's a no brainer :-).

    Replacement Tailshaft Needed! HELP Please!!!

No, it's the round aluminium or alloy piece approx 1200mm long and it's broken half way. There's a foot long shaft that slides into the transfer case and is connected to the tailshaft with uni joints. I assume they both either come as one part together or separate so the uni's get pulled apart...
