Treated the slug with some new boots on the weekend, the old ones still had some life in them but it was time for them to go on the camper trailer. These were up to 62000kms which o am pretty happy...

the flame noise you can hear i bet will be the shut down butterfly on the manifold, pop the bonnet and get someone to shut the car down while looking for the valve moving, mine makes a similar sound....
