HPD front mount intercooler (zd30)

I bought the HPD series 2 front mount intercooler and installed it a few days ago.
It was an easy install and i had it done in ruffly 4 hours.

Here are some pics of the install.

Nice job. Heat from intercooler, plus A/C, makes for very hot air by the time it gets to the radiator. Dont put a couple of big spotties back in those holes in the bumper and cut of the airflow altogether.

Still have some mods to the front bar to finish for air flow.

it actually doesn't make it worse.
what you loose in radiator cooling due to the intercooler heating the air and reducing air flow to the radiator, the internal cooling of the engine from the cold intake air more than makes up for that.

Can't hurt to have better air flow through the front bar tho I'm guessing?

but then again the factory bumper is quite big.
problems turn up when you have winch and multiple spot lights etc all blocking flow.

re: air flow , yeh i swiss cheesed that area and mounted my number plate lower to improve air flow, but i don't have to contend with winch, i just carry a hand winch.
