I'm trying to swap the Z24's between my 2 D21's and I'm stuck. The engine and gearbox are still connected to eachother and I'm really hoping to keep it that way. Whenever I try lift it out, the sump seems to get caught on something (the front diff I think) Is there any way I can get around this...

I haven't changed the oil since I've had it, because it was freshly changed when I got it, GTX2, and hasn't travelled much since. The problem has only just popped up today as far as I've noticed, but I've been pretty preoccupied with the billion other problems this POS has. It normally idles...

If I'm sitting there just idling, the oil light on the dash comes on. As soon as I touch the accelerator, it goes away. What could this be?

Yeah I checked that adjuster just before, it seems to be as tight as it can go already, but it hangs down an inch lower than it does when the handbrake is on. I got "Handbrake adjust" on my roadworthy check, but it does work pretty well and only travels about 5 clicks unless you go Hulk on it.

Or if someone wants to come over (Ferntree Gully) and do it for me, I'll buy ya beer! :P

I know it's a really basic thing, but I've never had to do it so I have no idea how. Can someone run through on how to adjust the handbrake in a D21 dual cab? Cheers.

Yeah true. It now seems to be idling better than it has in the entire time I've owned it. I'll go down and grab a fresh fuel filter tomorrow just for the sake of it.

Update: After letting it sit for a few hours again, I went out and kicked it in the guts and it started to cough and splutter, but eventually started, albeit rough as f**k

I don't understand how such a dramatic change could've taken place in the few hours it was sitting in the garage today. It ran perfect this morning when I drove it in there. I haven't checked the timing.
