As the cost of petro diesel continues to climb I have had to resort to research. Bio diesel in whatever % maybe the way to go. Has anyone had any luck running a direct injection diesel on bio diesel? BTW I'm in Aussie.

G'day mate, Welcome. The ZD30 (D22) was the better of all the latest direct injection Nissan/Peugeot motors. The ZD30 will (or should) last 350,000/500,000 km and possibly more. Good start is to regularly change engine oil.

ok to dramatically reduce the noise, put an insulated tea chest over the gennie. get some flexi pipe (the stuff that looks like coils) and extend the exhaust out and down and preferably under the ground or throw some sand on top of the extra pipe...

For $810.00 fitted at Noosa Exhausts, the 3" is GREAT!!! dump pipe is ceramic coated. Have run through two tanks and the fuel consumption is now 7.7 litres per 100 km. Fantastic!

I installed a Super Crap Turbo Timer on my 3 lt Navara and the side benefit is that it shows the voltage going into #2 battery. Only $70.00. Cheap insurance too.
