    i had my 4wd and camper van stolen in Sunbury last year. Van was hitched to the car after a week away, cleaned up ready to be stored the next morning. car was found with no significant damage though heaps of accessories (HEMA, Leatherman, CB, CD's, DVD players etc) all gone but van never found...

    personally, three person tent, mattress way better than a swag and gives u some room for whatever u may need ….especially if its bloody hot or wet..

    solo NT trip

    i have done melb to darwin..via flinders ranges and oodnadatta track.. don't need a lot other than common sense, car is good for the trip, good tyres, some comms though I always take tool kit, oils, coolant, compressor, water and some essentials to last me if i get stuck somewhere

    Essential gear for camping/4x4

    think a lot depends on your circumstances..camping, campervan, caravan etc and where your heading.. not much point in taking a heap of tools and spares if your going to a well populated place but travelling remote areas safety comes first. maybe oif you suggested what kind of trip your planning...

    i have a dolphin i bought 30 years ago, replaced globe once, its been thrown, abused, disregarded, dropped in fresh and sea water, covered in mud.. new battery every few months and on it goes with a good quality beam.. not led standard but more than adequate..

    amateur motorsport in australia

    i tried rallying as a privateer for a while but the cost is horrendous and it makes it worse when you compete against the likes of subaru who threw $5M+ in to their rally teams before they withdrew. a lot also has to do with OH&S, legal issues with our tendency to follow the US litigation...

    D 40 Tyres

    I've had the MT's on my car for 18 months, been excellent on the road, sand rough, tracks, average in the mud but for an AT i would recommend them. also have worn very well.
