    D22 Viscous fan hub oil

Thanks for your reply Tony. I'm assuming your hub was'nt fully engaging thus your bus was running hotter under load ? Was there evidence of oil loss ? Are you confident the fan is engaging and disengaging as required ? My girl began to heat up under load - eg a long climb towing a trailer...

Hey Folks D22 YD25 Anybody have any idea how much oil is supposed to be in the viscous fan hub ?

    Yd25 timing chain perth

Has the info re dual mass clutch and timing chains been verified by any other source ? Sounds a bit fanciful as the only cause of chain failure. Would mean D22's dont break chains - at least not within their service life which according to YD25 is 150kkm

    D22 first timer

Two thoughts re your comments Tony: Low range with the hubs out will pull anything anywhere without smoking the clutch. Re D22 power - they are pretty gutless. I stuck a Baet remap ecu in my YD and its made a significant difference. Nothing over the top, just feels like a normal vehicle as...

    YD25.com chain failure - apparently

I've been in touch with ( presumably ) Paul at YD25 and let him know where to find the post and the guy who posted it.

    YD25.com chain failure - apparently

Yes its a mystery. Either it is Yd25's and it broke, or its not theirs and now a whole bunch of guys think it is. Lot of D22 owners on that page. Really none of my business but I'm inclined to get in touch with them and let them know.

    YD25.com chain failure - apparently

Disturbing post on the D22 FB page. Guy reckons the timing chain he bought from YD25.com just 8 months ago has broken. I asked him what YD25 were going to do about it and he said he had'nt been in touch with them and does'nt plan to.

Nissan Navara D22 ST-R 3.0L Diesel 2006 - cost of new injector pump

Well that one is for a YD but having said that $1k is super cheap - not that I have ever priced one but 3 - 4 $k is the usual discussed price. Has a Denso part number so presumably it's genuine ? If not then does it fall into the get what you pay for category ?

Timing Chain Failures and Oil Filters

Having had a top tensioner fail in my D40 - now drive a D22 - I've given this a lot of thought. What I never see in these conversations is mention of the tensioner spring. It actually a strong spring that maintains the tension - on start up at least - then the oil pressure kicks in. I...

    D22 engine swap ideas

Interesting. The math says your 235's are 14.25mm higher in profile than the standard 265/70 so 28.5 total tire diameter. Surprised it can make such a difference particularly when the D22 speedo reads fast in the first place. Mine at least, reads almost 10% fast, as my D40 did also...

    D22 mods

Well I put a famed Jamie Knobel remapped ecu on mine. Plus the recommended boost- t, set at about 20psi up from 16. Made a significant difference re get up and go. I tow quite a bit around the Adelaide hills and its been great. Fuel economy- well dont expect more energy for free. Longevity -...

    Looking to change tyres size

Hey mate - another D22 driver here tho its a fourby - I cant answer any of your questions directly but I think would be a fair observation to say that even if the 16's did fit the stud pattern and fitted inside your wheel arches and you could turn lock to lock with out rubbing on anything you...
