Hi Guys,
I wonder if anyone can help....I was having probs with the tail light/ console light circuit. Auto elec fixed it this week, diagnosed as short in spotties circuit. This was Monday.
Today (Friday) when I went to leave work, I head a load sparky "crack" noise when I turned the...
Hi Guys,
I've just driven 250kms from Karratha to Port Hedland. I took the temperature of the two front manual hubs upon stopping. They were both reading mid 50 degrees Celsius. Is this normal or symptomatic of a wheel bearing on the way out?
Cheers
I think I'm going for the mic sitting on the gear stick boot area too. Bought some decent double sided tape, but it seems every free area has a curved surface and the heat up here in the Pilbara ends up causing the clip and mic to drop off. Oh well. :)
Jacked up the d22 on each corner today and gave the wheels a bit of a wiggle. Looks like the front two wheels have a tiny amount of play in them. As an enthusiastic amateur, am I able to adjust the bearings or is it a garage job? I have freewheeling hubs.
I've been reading the thread about the vibrations experienced when engaging the clutch. My d22 does it often when I drop from third to second gear. I can generally avoid it happening by releasing the clutch quickly. Also get the same vibrations/judder when drawing in and out of the garage in...
Thanks for your help guys. I found a nice patch of even surfaced but unsealed road, did a few left and right turns on there to listen for the sound - it didn't do it. Hoping its just the difference in the tyres. Had a look for rubbing in the wheel arches, no evidence that this is occurring...
Hi Guys, I'm a new d22 owner so please excuse my ignorance. I'm getting a humming sound from the front end when turning. Power steering fluid level is ok. Could it be that I'm just not used to driving with chunkier tyres fitted?
I'm a new D22 owner, so still learning...I have a humming noise coming from the front end when I turn left or right. The tyres don't touch the bodywork and the power steering fluid is at a food level. Any tips? Could it be that I'm not used to driving with chunky tyres?
Thanks Dean. I think the previous owner had the same idea, the battery charge indicator takes up this spot. Tried (and failed) to use the adhesive take off one of those sticky picture hook things. May have to resort to the self tappers after all!
