I put a SSB lithium battery in my DR650 recently and I'm half waiting for it to catch fire one day. :sarcastic: Not sure I'd trust them in the 4wd seeing as they just look a bunch of mobile phone batteries stuck together.

Cheers it's says 90w on the bottom of the charger so I'll look for a 300w. My experience with inverters is limited. I remember buying a cheap one for use with a laptop and it would only ever charge the laptop when it was switched off. As soon as you turned it on it would start the warning beep.

On the topic of inverters. What size inverter would be recommended to be able to recharge drill batteries with the normal mains charger that comes with the kits?? Milwaukee doesn't appear to make a 12v socket charger.

I replaced the dual cranking batteries for a single Supercharge Gold MF95D31L 810 CCA from Autobarn. Came with a 40month warranty so figured I'd give it a shot. Been going good for a year so far. I looked at the Optimas but there is quite a few thread around on other forums on them dying...

I got 5 years out of my two stockers and then they seemed to be using a lot of water so I changed them over. Got one Supercharge MF95D31L Gold 810 CCA as the cranker then a Amptech 80ah deep cycle on the passenger side and a CTEK D250S to keep it all charged and isolated.

Mine shakes like a wet dog when I turn it off. It's done it since new.

I might be keen for this. Would be good to put a face to some names. I used to ride Mt Mee/Dayboro and Conondale all the time but haven't ever bothered to go in there in the 4wd because it was all just easy fire trails apart from A Break.
