Battery and hand brake warning lights stay on.

I've got the new pulley and hexagonal tool to fit. What do I need to hold the alternator shaft? Thanks

Thanks Eric and Tony It appears to be the pulley works when it feels like it . The alternator currently (ha, ha) is still working. Will order the pulley today. Thanks for the advice. Harry

Thanks Ericcs. How do you determine whether it's the pulley or the alternator? Should I just buy another alternator and be done with it? Thanks again.

Battery and hand brake warning lights stay on.

Intermittently my handbrake and battery light come on. It started happening after a flat battery and I found on the forum the code remover...pumping, on and off, etc., etc. to get rid of them. I want to know what they are indicating and should I take it to a mechanic. Thanks

    Doors slapping on hitting bumps

The bushes on the main hinge pins wear out reasonably quickly and cannot be replaced. You can test this by all but closing the door and check the up an down movement. As far as I know the only solution is complete hinge replacement.

    Auto Transmission Cooler

Thanks for that. Where I live the ambient temperature is hot all year so, maybe, the radiator section could be bypassed. My mechanic friend says the result of water entering the gear box would be really awful and hugely expensive. Better to reroute in his opinion.

    Auto Transmission Cooler

Hi Everyone Can anyone explain why the oil from the auto gear box is routed through the radiator as well as the trans air cooler? Can it be put solely through the air cooler as any chance of water in the gear box from a problem with the radiator would cause huge problems! Thanks
