G'day all, Just throwing a quick question out there to see what fuell economy everyone is getting for there diesel d40s, I am getting around 500kms per tank and have been told this is poor economy. Any thoughts on how to get it better or what would make it chew more fuel. Cheers

got everything sorted today, got the plug from a gme store. ran lead and arial too. what a pain. had some great fun getting it in to the unit but all came together neatly.one more thing crossed off the list of add ons.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if theres an adapter plug/port for a tx3600. ive just purchased a gme AE4018k1 anntener and the lead it came with doesnt fit the back of my uhf unit. there both gme brands so im not sure why this would be..am i missing anything? any ideas??

yea i got 2'' with them easy, sure you would get more if you kept cranking them up tighter. Would just stifen the ride the higher you went.

mate i have bfg a/t 265's on my d40, its a manual diesel and still goes great. no diffrence to a mates the same with stock road tyres i dont rekon. hope that helps

hey fellas, just wondering if anyone has a set of a/t 33's on their d40 and the pros and cons, whats the fuel consumption like and do they rub the guards atal. I have a 2'' lift all round so would i be able to get away with them on or would i have to lift it higher. Any pics would be great to.

thanks tony, yea i did the same and put it up the right way 1st an when i lowered it it hit on the chassis so i had to turn the ubolts upside down.. did you put the bottom leaf in as well. it looks that way in the pic.

is there much work involved to get at the back of it,mine is an 08 rx and i wanna mount a aux plug in the glove box the same as the st-x. is it tricky?

i checked and it has adjustment... will get it aligned tomorrow and let you know the readings.

mate ive never known of any vehicle to whine when in 4x4(without there being something wrong), i have a d40 king cab manual and it doesnt make a noise. if i were you id get a mechanic to give it the once over just to be safe..

Hey fellas, just wondering if anyone has put an ironman helper leaf under the back of a d40. ive recently put it in on my rx king cab and am having trouble with it hitting on the chassis when loaded.. not sure what my options are or if anyone has any ideas... help would be much appreciated.

mine is a 2008 model.. how early did they bring out the adjustment??
