Just got a HD clutch done on mine... what a difference! I was bunny hopping all over town for a day or two till I got used to the amount of grab I now have. I should have got my gears done at the same time but hindsight is 20/20
I just got back from Fraser this week. Had a blast. The sand was soft as we haven't had rain in weeks. A Pajero in front of me off the barge got bogged even before central station as he stopped in a soft spot. The south end of the island is limited as a few tracks are closed due to fires.
Just got the 4wd action mag today and there is a section on buying a d22 used. The ZD30 does not come out in the best of light. I thought the issue was with ZD30 in patrols not Navaras. It's got me rather worried. I service it every 5000K. I got a 2'5" exhaust fitted. Next time I get it serviced...
For what it's worth my better half says that the sausage rolls at the Eurong bakery are up there as some of the best she's ever had! She says she'd go over to the Island just for the sausage rolls. I reckon it is more to do with my bush cooking after a few days that makes them taste so good...
I live in Hervey Bay and get across to Fraser more than a few times a year. As Matt76 says - the Island is bloody big. 'Cause I have a three year old my wife likes the idea of fenced camping so when we go we stick to Central Station if we are looking to hit the lakes for swimming or otherwise we...
I was looking into getting one this afternoon ( a snorkel that is) and the guys at the shop said that I would most certainly hear it. I guess this is normal for the navara.
I love the look of my alloy bar but it is a pain to keep clean. After a day in the mud, if I don't get to it straight away it stains. The more I want to do with my d22 the more I consider swapping to a steel bar. There were no points on mine for an antenna. There are 2 holes for lights but that...
Thanks for that... I will have a better look this afternoon. I took the front bash plate off and had a look around (noticed that I have 3 different bolts holding the plate on) and I didn't see anything that I could use to get the nuts in. The factory alloy bar seems to be bolted on around there...
LOL. You do have a point. I have seen the Youtube footage to back that up - a camry on the beech at Rainbow was an interesting sight to say the least.
When I was on Fraser at xmas I followed a brand new Forester out of Kingfisher - I spent most of the afternoon backing up and...
Thanks for the advice. I had been thinking Eagles nest from what I saw on the maps on the net but you confirmed my thoughts - I hate walking at 2 in the morning with my 3 year old who has to go to the toilet. Not a fun experience so the closer the better.
I'll be going with my Brother in law...
I just had a go at installing these on my d22 this afternoon but i have no idea of where to drop in the nuts into the chassis. I didn't want to start drilling till I knew where everything fit. I just don't see a place where I can get the nuts in.
